POLICIES

COVID PROTOCOLS - January 2022

Please see below the NSW Health guidelines for community sport. Currently BHFC do not have any field bookings.

If you have a booking for training on a field, you can train without any limits or rules.  All players/coaches/attendees should be adhering to NSW Health guidelines, that is

  1. If you have COVID (Positive Rapid Antigen test or PCR result) you should isolate for seven days or until you no longer have symptoms (whatever is longer) and not attend training or activities during that time

  2. If you are a household contact of a positive case (i.e. a member of your family has COVID) you should isolate for 7 days – and get a Rapid Antigen test to make sure you do not have COVID and not attend training or activities during that time

  3. If you are a close contact of a positive case (i.e. you have been in an indoor setting for more than 4 hours continuously with a COVID positive case) you should isolate for 7 days – and get a Rapid Antigen test to make sure you do not have COVID and not attend training or activities during that time

  4. If you have flu-like symptoms you should take a Rapid test before attending any training or football activity

In a nutshell, there are no requirements from football, over and above the NSW Health regulations.

If there is any changes to the above the club will notify all members.

From MWFA re 2021 Fee Return/Refund/Reduction

Dear 2021 MWFA player,

I hope you are staying safe and sane as we navigate our way through this COVID-19
lockdown.

More importantly, I hope you are managing to stay active and connected to your friends to make sure we look after each other.

The MWFA has been working with all stakeholders to understand what savings can be made from the fees that were paid for the 2021 season as well as tallying the savings made internally due to the season being abandoned. The process has been identical to 2020 when the MWFA returned $553,000 in registration fees to the 17 clubs to assist your club with the financial impact of the 2020 COVID-19
disruption.

However, this year the MWFA and the 17 Clubs have made the decision that the surplus fees collected by the MWFA for 2021 will be returned directly to the players by reducing the fees for the 2022 season. We have recovered money through reduced referees costs, the generosity of Northern Beaches Council in reducing field hire fees, finals costs, trophies, general savings and a return from Football NSW on the insurance component of the fees.

When we have the exact figures, we will share the breakdown for the 2022 fee reduction directly with you all. It will also be clearly identified when you register to play for 2022 on the Play Football system.

Stay safe and stay connected

Regards
David Mason
