18/1 Round 3 of the State Cup
18/1 made the long trip across to Caringbah to play round 3 of State Cup with only 10 players! They were going to be up against it playing a Sutherland team that was winning their comp. These amazing young men not only lifted but did our club so proud with a phenomenal, gutsy performance! Leading 2-1 at half time Cronulla equalised in the second half, sending the game into golden goal extra time. Near the end of the first half in extra time, Imaan puts a beautiful thru ball to Chambers who buried it in the top left hand corner in spectacular fashion - winning us the game!
Special mention to our stand in GK Jarrod, who made some incredible saves!
All 10 players produced a fantastic team effort, following the coaches game plan for a successful result!

MWFA have now been using the EMS system for over a month. We acknowledge that there may have been a few complications in April due to server problems but we are now confident after last weekend’s results that the EMS system is running smoothly.
We would like to make all Managers and Coaches aware that each Manager/Coach needs to do the following with each game their team plays.
Prior to KICK OFF
Confirm your own TEAM LIST on EMS
Confirm the OPPONENTS TEAM LIST on EMS
At CONCLUSION of game
Both Team Managers put in the score and press SAVE – not LOCK
Referee to enter yellow/red cards (check with teams to ensure players wore the correct shirt number)
Once that is done, the referee puts in the score and his name - then press SAVE
To clear things up – THE RULE OF THUMB should be that EVERY manager/referee should always exit from the ‘Match Results & Statics’ page (after entering score) by using the ‘Save’ button and log out (DO NOT press the back arrow button – top left of screen as this will make all entries void)
Beacon Hill players and parents are encouraged to download the FREE My Game Guru App as a way of keeping up to date with fixtures, notifications and wet weather updates (especially whilst the issues with icompman continue).

Defibrillators - a matter of life or death
The MWFA defibrillator project team has been working towards supplying defibrillators to all 'senior fields' for 2017 season. The last two club purchases have been made so we need to ensure we have players and managers who are confident to operate the defibs in the case of an emergency. Click on the link below and in less than 10 minutes learn what to do with it in an emergency: MWFA Defib Awareness
There is a very short registration process and two questions to complete/ The rego is important as it will show which clubs are trained and which clubs are to complete training.
