Beacon Hill Bears v Wakehurst Eels
It was a damp and chilly morning on Saturday but, as usual, the Bears were out there rearing to go.
The Wakehurst FC Eels were worthy opponents but the Bears gave it their all.
Most importantly, the Bears had a lot of fun and showed great sportsmanship.
It's great to see each member of the team improving as the season progresses and as the Bears continue to develop playing as a team, they will be a force to be reckoned with. Keep up the good work Bears.
This week, Lucia Posteraro was outstanding in her attack and defence and for this she was awarded player of the match. Encouragement awards went to Xander Buckingham who soldiered on, Toby Steele for his great goal and Lachlan Oake for his excellent defensive play.

Beacon Hill Jackals v Wakehurst Pelicans
After a 2 week break the Jackals have come back in fine form exhibiting some great teamwork and some outstanding individual performances.
Matthew scored 6 goals on the weekend with a little help from his teammates, Nathan in particular was a great support and both earned player of the match. The goals just kept on coming and it kept the team motivated and enthusiastic. In the other game Hamish and William scored 2 goals a piece – they put up a great challenge for their opponents and Ashley displayed some very fancy footwork to earn the Player of the Match for her team.
A great return to soccer for the Jackals and great improvement from all players.

Tristram Road, Beacon Hill
Beacon HillStorm 1 v Brookvale Stallions 3
During the first half of the game the team worked hard to prevent a couple of goals being scored by the Stallions. The defense played by Oskar, Ronan and Filip was first-rate and so were the solid passes by Daniel and Francis. A great save by Josh and a powerful kick down the middle of the field to Cooper then onto Ferdi resulted in our first goal. There were some outstanding attempts at goal from Cooper, a mighty kick by Jeremy and some exceptional saves by Josh. Ronan continued to apply high quality pressure to the Stallions.
During the second half of the game there were a couple of great saves in goals by Reece who worked very hard, but the Stallions scored a goal in the first couple of minutes of the match. Oskar defended well by kicking the ball out, but another goal was scored by the Stallions shortly after. Some fine play by Cooper up front and Thomas in mid field. Oskar zoomed in from nowhere to kick the ball away from goals but another goal was scored by the Stallions. Great kick by Jeremy to clear the ball away from goals and a high quality attempt by Francis to set up a goal kick from the side of field. Good effort boys, better luck next time. Final score: 3-1 Stallion win.

Beacon Hill Bears v Forest Killarney Stingrays
The U6 Bears are on fire. What a superb team effort the Bears put in today and everyone agreed it was great fun to play and to watch. With only 8 players today, every team member had to play the whole game and they all played hard from beginning to end.
The most exciting aspect of the Bears game is how well they are playing as a team, with the players passing the ball in attack and working hard together in defence. Not only that, the Bears are all over the ball with all of the players being involved in the game. They are all so proud of how well they are playing and deservedly so!
This, of course, makes it very difficult to select the winners of the awards, but today two players were outstanding with both Bailey Foster and Toby Nunn putting in their best game of the season and winning the Players of the Match. Boys, you played a great game, well done.
Oliver Heintz and Bianca Raffin were also in great form today and were the winners of the Encouragement Awards for their superb effort.
Bears, congratulations to you all.

Beacon Hill v Brookvale Alien Force
The Tigers had 2 games that were much closer than in previous weeks, against a good Brookvale side.
Passing was again the focus for the day and it appears the lads are listening to the coach as it is improving week on week. The way the players are tackling back and helping each other is great to see, well done lads.
Again there were plenty of goals to keep the crowd happy and the player of the week was Erik, for his fantastic defending and the encouragement award went to Jessie, for his passing and goals.
Go the Tigers, keep it up and enjoy the school holiday break.

Beacon Hill Cheetahs 0 v Pittwater Hammerheads 2
What a great game the girls had!
Despite losing the game, the girls showed how much they have improved since the start of the season.
A couple of great runs for Jessica, Mahalia, Sarah and Taylor combined with great defence by Bianca, Olivia, Tiana and Pippa made this a very enjoyable game for the Cheetahs.
A goal by the Hammerheads goalie saw us down 0 – 2 in the second half, but we were all very proud of our girls for their great effort. Go Cheetahs!

Beacon Hill Bullants V Wakehurst Kookaburras
After 4 weeks the Bullants were back together with their full team and enthusiasm was high. The teams took their positions on the field, the whistle blew and the magic began.
First it was Tully playing in the forward position with an attempt at goal only just missing, but Tom finished this off in the 4 minute with his first goal. Ben kept his eye on the action the whole time from in goal.
3 minutes later came the second goal for Tom. The Bullants were relentless in the attack and Josh defended to pass a ball back to Tom who went in for the 3 goal. 1 minute later Jacob was able to score his first goal for day.
The half time whistle blew and the score was 4 nil to the Bullants.
The teams were back on for the second half after their team talks and oranges and ready to finish what they'd started. It wasn't long before Ben scored the next goal for the Bullants and we were now in front by 5.
Jackson's excellent attacking saw him being tackled from behind causing him to hit the ground but his efforts were rewarded when Jacob was able to score his second goal for the day as a result. Wakehurst made a break and some very skillful defending by Conor finished Wakehurst's attempts at scoring. Jordan was consistently strong in defense ensuring no balls were going to get past him.
There was another attempt by Tom, some great attacking by Jacob to see him make a great break. A wonderful steal from Conor resulted in a great attempt at goal from Jackson only to bounce off the goal post. Jacob had another attempt. As play continued the ball started heading towards the Bullants goal post but Declan was ready for his chance to shine.
Because of the fantastic defending and attacking by the Bullants the ball quickly made its way back up to the other end. An expert kick by Tully saw him get the next goal and his first for the session. Then it was Jacob who scored the last seeing the mighty Bullants defeating Wakehurst Kookaburra's 8 nil.
It was an amazing team effort and both coaches must be happy with the dividends paid from all the training drills over the last 3 years.
Man of the Match trophy went to Jordan and the trophy for Encouragement went to Declan.
Congratulations boys.
