Weekend 24/25th May 2008
U7: Beacon Hill Eagles 0 Forest/Killarney Magpies 6
Unfortunately we missed our star player Michael who fractured his collar bone in training and will now be out for 6 weeks.
Without Michael the rest of the team rallied to each show strong improvement in their game skills. Ally was the player of the match coming onto the field with a fierce determination to show us her great attacking skills.
Nathan showed his brilliant defensive skills both in goal and out and the rest of the team showed how much they are all improving every week.
Keep it up team we are getting there - and it must be said our opposition was blessed with a 'golden' boot player who managed to score every one of the 6 goals posted by his team!
We all wish Michael a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the field when he is fit and well.

U9: Beacon Hill Hurricanes 5 Pittwater RSL Leopards 1
This week saw the Beacon Hill Hurricanes break through for their first win of the year with a 5-1 victory against Pittwater. This was a complete team performance that was very pleasing for Coach Darren Carter.
The goal keepers in each half, Alex and Connor, repelled many attacks from Pittwater and were very brave. The defense was tight all day, well done, Eric, Will, Ryan, TJ and Justin.
The midfield was awesome with Mathew controlling the play and scoring an excellent second half goal. The strikers were on fire with Ethan scoring a brilliant goal, Alex up front in the second half put one in the back of the net and Ned bagging an incredible hat trick and the man of the match trophy.
Great game Hurricanes.
U9: Beacon Hill Beacon Hill Storm 12 Mosman Linx 0
This week the Storm played in a very one sided game.
The first half saw the Storm with the majority of possession. Bailey & Jesse were in a scoring frenzy with Bailey scoring 5 goals and Jesse a hat trick. The sideline erupted when Ben scored his first goal and both Jan & George came agonisingly close to scoring.
The few times Mosman did get the ball pass halfway they were met with our ever dependable backline of Trent, Brandon & Luke. Ryan in goals did a couple of great clearing kicks, but was never in any real threat.
The second half, Storm's coach put all our fullbacks up front & all our forwards in the back. The Mosman coach put all his players in defence. With 16 kids all crowding in front of the goal mouth, goals were much harder to come by.
Luke, Ryan & Trent made numerous attempts before finally scoring a goal each. Our poor goal keeper, George, never saw the ball. Brandon, who did some brilliant passing, earned himself the Player of the Match this week and Bailey received the Maccas Award.
Well Done Boys - here's hoping for a more challenging game next week!
U9: Beacon Hill Turtles 9 Brookvale Bush Rangers 0
It was an exciting Saturday morning at Grahams Mini 1.
The Turtles attacked from the first second of the game resulting in 2 quick corners by Jack and a third one by Nathan. Nathan reached Lucas whose kick was just saved from the goal line. The energetic start got the Turtles firing. It only took 3 minutes before Lucas could pass on the right side to Nathan who quickly passed back to Lucas. His kick ended up in the lower left of the goal: 1-0. Lucas could repeat a nice dribble along the right side of the field a few minutes later and finished it off professionally with a second goal.
That woke up the Bush Rangers who tested Turtles goalkeeper Archie with a full team counter attack, but Archie was solid and kept the goal clean. When Jordi came in fresh after 7 minutes he immediately dribbled through the Bush Rangers' defence and brought the score to 3-0. Joel created a corner opportunity a few minutes later where he reached Jordi. It was only because of some effective tackles and great saves by the Bush Rangers that the score didn't change till after the break.
In the second half Archie became striker and showed that his talents are diverse. He saw his opportunity from the middle line and only dribbled for a few meters before kicking a 15 metres shot to which the Bush Rangers had no answer: 4-0. Again the Bush Rangers tried to break through, but solid defence by Dexter disturbed all aspirations. It was the Turtles again through Jordi who now from the left found the net again with a straight low goal. Minutes later it was again Jordi's turn on a golden pass from Archie on the right to bring the score to 6-0.
It was not enough for the Turtles. When the Bush Rangers' goalkeeper let go of the ball Jack was quick to bring it across the line. Jordi finished the game of with another 2 low kicks to bring the end score to 9-0.
Great team work by the Turtles that was enjoyed by players and supporters, and excellent preparation for the home game next week against the HSU Falcons.
Weekend 17/18th May 2008
U7: Beacon Hill Bears 3 Wakehurst 3
The Beacon Hill Bears played another great game.
Josh scored two goals in the first half, Cheyenne had a great run as did Maya and Wesley.
Isabella was our goalie and did really well.
In the second half Wesley was goalie; Nicolas created many opportunities for his team mates.
Taylor and Zali both played fantastic games today.
Congratulations on another brilliant game of soccer.
U7: Beacon Hill Turtles 2 Wakehurst Bobcats 0
Another great game from the boys with only six players, involvement from everyone, was a pleasure to watch.
Jack was busy in the first half, keeping their goalkeeper engaged with numerous shots on goal. Keep up the good work Jack!! Dexter was trying his new backheel trick to great effect. At halftime it was scoreless.
Nathan took an opportunity in the second half, using his knee to score our first goal. Archie was active in defence as usual. Kicking the ball with lots of power, at times putting the opposition in danger!!
Jordie was everywhere both in attack and defence, with some great incisive dribbling runs by himself before trying to find a teammate with a pass. Lucas after first half in goal was full of beans when unleashed in the second half. Made some great runs up the sideline before managing to place one past their keeper for our second goal.
Great game Turtles. Winning 2-0.
U7: Beacon Hill Hawks 4 Dee Why Swans 0
Dee Why Oval proved a happy hunting ground for the Hawks, who after a slow start swooped on the Swans in a dazzling display of teamwork and determination.
Showing the attitude, which earned him this week's encouragement award, Matthew lead the charge initially with probing runs down centerfield, which gave the Hawks an early corner. Hannah's incredible crosskick went begging but fired up her fellow players, with Dean snaking through to attack repeatedly and Pete and Daniel firing in long-range missiles.
In the rare moments the Swans made it into the Hawks half, KC and Josh demonstrated their famous, body-on-the-line defence, turning quickly to attack with attempts on goal themselves.
As half-time approached team management were considering a name change from 'Hawks' to 'Carpenters' as every player had shaved something off the posts. But salvation came from Hannah, whose never-say-die attitude gave her a deserving goal.
In the second half, man of the match Blake released the pent-up energy from being virtually idle as goalie in the first half with his trademark speed and capitalised on a deflected strike from KC to score. Clearly this gave him a taste for the net and he scored twice more to make it a hat trick.
The end result of a game against a tough and relentless opposition was a 4-0 scoreboard, the TAB shortening the Hawks' odds for next week, and big proud smiles in the team photo.
U7: Beacon Hill Eagles 1 CCS Skokos 3
What a great improvement we made this week!
Every player made an important contribution. Piper and Ally made some great saves in goal. Michael scored a great goal and our excellent defence kept prevented the opposition scoring any goals in the second half.
Player of the match went to Riley who showed great improvement in getting involved with the play.
Well done team.

U7: Beacon Hill Jaguars 1 Forest Killarney 0
On a cloudless bright sunny morning at the infamous BJ Stadium, Narraweena in a top of the table clash between the previously undefeated FK up against the home team Jaguars.
The game started at a frantic pace with some outstanding saves from our 1st half goalkeeper Ben and some great attacking raids on the FK goals by our resident glamour twins Jessica and Roxanne ably assisted by Jordan B and Max.
With only minutes left on the clock before half time it was a great run down the right hand side of the park by Harry showing some silky skills with the ball where he linked up with Jordan Y supporting on the inside who then cleverly flicked the ball onto Nathan to slam home what was to be the winning goal into the back of the net - the near capacity crowd erupted in thunderous applause.
The 2nd half was a tight, end to end affair with Ben, Max and the two Jordan's coming close to scoring and at the other end Jessica keeping a clean sheet as 2nd half goalkeeper.
With the final score at 1-0 to the Jaguars the crowd left in a happy mood passing on their congratulatory approval to team officials Stuart and Katrina as well as appreciation to referee - BJ Stadium's very own Mr. Chris Morgan.
U7: Beacon Hill Sharks 1 Pittwater Swordfish 1
Very close encounter today against two teams that were gridlocked for the entire game.
The first half was a battle in the midfield with the Sharks just shading the majority of possession and also producing some excellent team play in defence (Jayden's trade mark sliding tackles proving a stumbling block for the competition) & in attack (Zack dribbling his way through the competitions defence) this would not have been possible without the continuous workload displayed by all the team members notably Liam who with no fear for his safety put his body & I mean body on the line.
Daniel had some great kicks with one shot at goal just going wide. Nathan's foot blisters had no effect on his convictions to open the scoring when he received the ball from the midfield & was inches away from glory. Darcy's goal keeping was called into action early & he passed the test.
The second Half saw a change in goal keepers with Zack replacing Darcy. In the second half both teams started to tire & inevitably one of the teams had to prosper with Zack's vision being impeded by players in the goal area Pittwater scored but the Sharks got hungry & Swordfish was on the menu in a blinding light of brilliance Jayden performed two sliding tackles & laid the ball onto Lincoln who bolted up the right wing to cross the ball into the centre - Darcy pounced on the opportunity dribbling past one defender before placing the ball in the back of the net.
Some crazy guy in a Chelsea cap & shirt jumped onto the field shouting, yes praise the lord he didn't start dancing like last week.
The game ended in a well fought draw & although every player deserves to be awarded there were 2 that could not go unnoticed congratulations to Liam Player of the Week & Jayden Encouragement Award winner.
U9: Beacon Hill Hurricanes 2 Seaforth Hawks 4
Even though the game didn't go the Hurricanes' way today, the boys played a strong game.
An exciting first half kept our goalkeeper Ryan Blanks busy, with Eric Ward and Alexander Russell scoring, it was 2 all at half time.
There were many opportunities on goals by both teams on the second half but unfortunately the opposition scored the last two. Great passing by the Beacon Hill boys but unlucky with a shot with the Ref provided by the Seaforth left a lot to be desired.
Well done boys! It was a good effort all round.
The MacDonald's Award went to the Player of the Week: Alexander Russell
U9: Beacon Hill Tornadoes v Narrabeen Tigers
Another strong game by the Tornadoes, unfortunately we went down to a team that played a very similar game to us and the scoreboard was not a reflection of what was a particularly close game.
Isaac had a strong game in goals in the first half and as usual was safe in defence in the second half. Matthew and Alessandro both had a great game, showing great skills particularly with tackling. Josh and Jack like always ran all day and created some good attacking opportunities, with Callum once again finishing off with a fantastic goal in the first half.
Joseph and Vanessa combined well upfront keeping the defence guessing. Mitchell and Daniel also had strong games with some great runs and Mitchell did some great saves in goals in the second half. And finally Nicholas contributed well as always when he came on late in the second half.
Well done to everyone, we appear to be getting better and better each week. Our passing game is improving out of sight, with this improvement and the teams enthusiasm the results are just around the corner.
Weekend 10/11th May 2008
U6: Beacon Hill Bobcats v Forest
On Saturday 10 May 2008 the Beacon Hill 'Bobcats' played against the Forest Killarney 'Sharks' at Beverley Job field No.2 at 8.30.
The Bobcats were eager and enthusiastic and we had 7 players, with one reserve. Our goalie in the first half, Nathan, did well to let only one ball into the goal. The 'Bobcats' were trying very hard and our defence was very good throughout the game.
Timothy took a fall and sprained his ankle, so we had no reserve in the second half... this may be why we succumbed to a few more goals in the second half. Sadly, we were unable to score a goal against the 'Sharks', as they are a very strong team.
Charley Yates received the Encouragement Award this week for his super goal keeping efforts, and Lachlan Brown was given the 'Player-of-the-Match' trophy for his hard running and successfully chasing the ball.
Congratulations to all our 'Bobcat' Team on playing a great game! Good Luck for the next one!
U7: Beacon Hill Bears 7 Pittwater Starfish 0
The Beacon Hill Bears had an absolute blinder of a game against the Pittwater Starfish on Saturday the 10th of May at Beverly Job.
Josh, Maya, Cheyenne, Taylah, Isabella, Zali, Wesley and Nicholas all had a fantastic game with Joshua scoring 4 goals, Wesley scoring 1 goal and Nicholas scoring one goal, leading the Bears to victory.
Nicholas, who played goalie in the first half and Cheyenne who played goalie in the second half were on form stopping all of Pittwater's attempts at goals.
The rest of the team played magnificently defending and attacking. A good game was played by all, and most of all everyone had fun.
A special mention to the Achievement Award winner Cheyenne should be made, as it was her best game yet.
Good luck for your next game Bears!
U7: Beacon Hill Turtles 7 CC Strikers Aloisi 0
This week the Turtles took on the CC Strikers Aloisi's at St Matthews Farm.
Starting the game with 5 players it looked like it was going to be a tough game for the Turtles but within 5 minutes they found themselves 2-0 up.
Out of nothing Jordan broke away from the defence and wasn't going to be caught, nicely slotting the ball past the keeper. Within a few minutes Archie picked up a loose ball and with a great turn and shot, gave the Strikers keeper no chance.
Both sides were getting stuck in and it was a fair but physical game. Just when it looked like 2-0 was going to be the half time score, Jack scored his first ever goal with a cracking shot from outside of the box. His team mates were genuinely pleased to see him score, Jack has really improved since the beginning of last season.
The second half continued in the same way, both teams trying really hard. Lucas didn't stop running throughout the whole game despite being on the end of some heavy challenges. Nathan and Wittaka both made good breaks
and went close as the Turtles started to dominate.
Eventually Jordan completed the scoring with a powerful shot from long range that the Strikers keeper couldn't keep out.
Overall a good win to the Turtles and really entertaining game to watch.
U7: Beacon Hill Roos 3 Manly Vale Dingoes 3
A great fight back from 2-nil down within the first 5 minutes saw Beacon Hill earn a 3 all draw.
The match will be remembered for the following reasons:
Started the match with 2 less players on the field
Huge courage in defense from Tom considering the pain his was suffering while running.
Alex also played his best game of the year with his huge effort in defence.
Excellent goals from Brandon and Joshua
Brilliant saves from goalkeepers Michael and Oscar
Louis's determination and fighting qualities to never give in is an inspiration to his team
Go the Rooooooosssssssss
U7: Beacon Hill Sharks 7 Mosman Frilled Necks 0
A beautiful autumn morning saw the Sharks circling and the boys were ready for action, as the ref blew his whistle, it was time, game on.
With great lead up work from Liam & Nathan saw Darcy score his first of six memorable goals. An excellent pass from Liam saw Zack score. Some great defending & great running from Daniel & Zack saw another shot hit the back of the net. A first half hat-trick to Darcy saw his Dad Paul doing moves never seen on the sideline before. This meant Jayden had a very quiet first half in goals.
The second half saw goalkeeper Nathen brought into action early with some great saves and goal kicks. The rampaging forms from the first half continued, Daniel had a great kick & chase for the ball to end up at Darcy feet, hence another goal.
Overall there was great involvement in both attack & defence from all the boys. WELL DONE boys a great team performance.
Encouragement award - Nathan
Player of match award - Darcy
U7: Beacon Hill Eagles v CCS Falcons
We came up against our toughest opponents yet on Saturday, I think some of them were ready for the A-League! But we didn't give up.
Our skills are definitely improving each week. Jeremy and Elizabeth excelled in goal, making some great saves against a very constant attack.
Michael led the way in attack and came close to scoring numerous times and Ali constantly positioned herself well to receive the ball.
Overall our team spirit was much better this week with everyone playing to the best of their ability and not giving up.
Well done team.

U9: Beacon Hill Tornadoes 5 Manly Vale Bears 1
A fantastic all round performance by the whole team. Saw the Beacon Hill Tornadoes pick up their first win of the season. A great performance saw the team win 5 - 1. With goals by Joseph, Josh, Nicholas and two for Callum.
The team started off well playing some really good football, good passing and running by Mathew, Mitchell and Jack. Alessandro worked hard to get the ball down to the forwards and when Joseph scored the first goal the whole team seemed to get inspired and thought this is going to be our game and although the Manly Vale Bears played really well especially in defence they could not stop a keen Tornado side.
When Josh scored the second goal all the Tornadoes attackers wanted to get their name on the score sheet. But due to great defending by the Manly Vale Bears they managed to stop lots of attacks by the Tornadoes.
When the Bears did attack Issac was seen to be everywhere to stop them. And then Nicholas got the third goal. Vanessa and Daniel came very close to scoring, but it was two quick goals by Callum, which sealed the game.
If the team can play like this every week. It should be the first of many wins.
Report by Keta and Tom Coulthard
U9: Beacon Hill Hurricanes 1 Forest Killarney Bombers 3
A tough game today with a disappointing result but it was a very skillful game.
Unfortunately, Hurricanes were out-played by the Bombers scoring the first goal in the first half.
The second half saw the opposition score another two and when you thought the boys were down and out, Justin Chi kicked the last goal of the game.
Great effort boys! Also, well done to our goalkeepers Daniel Horton and Ethan Pollard, with the Player of the Match going to Justin Chi.
U9: Beacon Hill Storm 3 Seaforth Dingoes 2
A beautiful Sat. morning saw the Storm lining up against the Seaforth Dingoes.
A fast paced match from the start and the Storm's defence line of Luke, Trent & Jesse held strong with Bailey making some very impressive saves in goals. Lachlan & George passed the ball well and Ryan chased & attacked the opposition and was rewarded with a goal after a superb pass from Trent.
With no subs the boys started to tire in the second half and conceded a goal. Then with some good goal keeping from Ben, the boys responded with quick goals to Ryan & Jesse.
Jan ran & chased the ball all day but a very weary Storm side conceded another goal late in the second half. However our courageous boys held on to a very much deserving 3-2 victory.
Ryan received the Player of the Match and Ben received the McDonalds Encouragement Award.
Weekend 3/4th May 2008
U7: Beacon Hill Turtles 2 Collaroy Cromer Kewells 0
This was a solid victory for The Turtles and 2-0 was a fair result in what was a tough and physical game. From the outset, the tackles flew in and the action was fast and furious. Jordan conceded a corner with a good tackle, Archie brought a save from the Kewells keeper and Dexter produced a good save to keep the score at 0-0.
In the fifth minute, Nathan had a shot saved and it wasn't long before the Turtles got the upper hand - Jordy with a powerful shot giving their keeper no chance.
Just before the break Jordy came close again and Dexter kept the opposition at bay. The temperature now reached 21 degrees and the whistle for half time was welcomed by the hard working players.
The second half opened with Archie nearly catching the keeper off guard with a shot straight from kick off. The Turtles escaped as Cromer went up the other end and hit the post. Jack was working hard and Luca was having a blinder, so it was no surprise when the Turtles got a deserved second. A determined Nathan strode past their defence to put the game out of reach.
From Joel to the coach it was a good team performance and an indication that the training during the week was paying off - the players spreading out and giving the team more options. All in all, a satisfying result and a resolute display.
U7: Beacon Hill Hawks 0 Brookvale Devils 1
The Hawks descended on David Thomas Reserve with the killer instinct they're famous for clearly evident. Hannah and Blake lead the charge initially and opened strongly, going agonisingly close to scoring in breathtaking attacks early in the game, capitalising on strong midfield play and passing by Pete and Daniel.
Matthew's speed and innovation in play, including a throw-in to himself, which momentarily bamboozled spectators and players alike, showed the spirit of the whole team.
The Devils though, had come to play, and Dean and Josh repeatedly brought blistering cover skills to make the opposition work hard for their win. In a man of the match performance, KC repelled wave after wave of Devils attacks in the first half until a searing ball from the Devils' lead striker beat him into the corner of the net.
In the second half Hannah turned her attacking skills to defence and kept the Devils goalless. The final score of 1-0 reflected a hard-fought thriller, which left the players exhausted, parents proud, and team management and coaching staff excited about prospects for the rest of the season.
U7: Beacon Hill Eagles 0 Seaforth Tassie Devils 7
Unfortunately this week our opponents outclassed us.
With only 6 players available we valiantly fought hard but tiredness and our opponent's superior skills defeated us in the end.
Remember team: it doesn't matter if we win or lose, as long as we have fun and play to the best of our ability!
We are all improving every week!

U7: Beacon Hill Bears 5 BVL Waratahs 2
The U7 Bears had another great win today. Score 5 - 2.
Zali and Joshua as goalies saved many attempts by the Waratahs to increase their score.
Taylah, Isabella, Maya, Cheyenne, Wesley and Nicholas all attacked and defended with great gusto.
Coach Dave was very happy with the end result.
Keep up the great work Bears.
U9: Beacon Hill Tornadoes 1 Belrose Terry Hills Raiders 2
Another great game by the Tornadoes!
We had good possession of the ball throughout the game. Josh ran like the wind to keep the ball away from the goal. Mitchell and Alessandro did a great job in goal, with some great saves.
Callum and Joseph showed good ball skills weaving through the opposition taking the ball up the field with a few great attempts on goal. Nicholas scored our first goal after a fantastic pass from Jack.
Matthew was always on the ball and tackled tirelessly. Vanessa was always in there fighting for the ball. Isaac did a great header and did some great runs up the field.
Keep up the great work team.
U9: Beacon Hill Trojans
The U9 Trojans had their first win of the season much to the delight of all players, parents and especially Coach Brian.
Score 4 - 0. Goals scored by Chloe, Reece and Jordan x 2.
Well done Trojans. Keep up the great work.
Weekend 12/13 April 2008
U7: Narrabeen Vipers 3 Beacon Hill Turtles 4
12th April
Hard fought game out at Boondah reserve. In the first period, the game was mostly played in our half, Joel and Archie defended well to keep the ball away from our goal!!
Nathan made a couple of good runs with the ball up the left hand side. Witika was in the middle of the pack as usual trying to get the ball. Jordan made the most of his limited opportunities in the first half, to put the Turtles ahead with a great goal from a tough angle!!
After our coach's halftime pep talk, the boys increased the tempo. Lucas was running the ball at the other team and finally put the Turtles further ahead with a great strike. Jack was injecting himself into the game more with a couple of nice kicks - a couple of nice somersaults on the ground as well!!
Turtles managed another goal via an own goal by the other team - good pressure by our boys around their goalmouth!! The other team had by now scored two goals. Archie had made a couple of goal saving tackles. We were now leading 3-2.
Lucas put the game beyond doubt, with a nice dribble across the front of the goal and a lovely left foot shot that sneaked inside the left hand post - great strike!!
Turtles winning 4-3.

U7: Beacon Hill Hawks 4 Seaforth Shooting Stars 0
12th April
The Hawks came out strong this week and managed to keep the momentum going.
Blake, Daniel and Dean all kicked sensational goals, whilst Hannah, Peter and Josh were amazing in attack and defence.
We borrowed a player from the U7 Sharks, Zach, who had awesome skills which really helped the team. Thanks Zach.
U7: Beacon Hill Jaguars 2 Collaroy Cromer Strikers Popovics 2
12th April
Another tough game for the Jaguars. They were pushed hard by the Popovics and searched hard for opportunities all morning.
Success came with a screamer by Nathan Bruzzano that flew into the back of the net to level at one apiece. Max Morgan too had his day out for the Jaguars to got to a one point lead.
This was thwarted by the Popovics who leveled just before full time. The Jaguars did very well in defence and if it wasn't for the skills of the Popovics goalies the score line may have been different.
Great to see the Jaguars firing and having a great time. Everyone had a good game and walked off at full time with smiles on their faces.
U7: Beacon Hill Eagles
12th April:
Result: Loss 3-1
A great improvement on our previous game resulted in us scoring our first goal of the season. Congratulations Jeremy our Player of the Match whose numerous attacking runs paid off with a goal.
As a team we demonstrated improved attacking skills with Jeremy, Cameron and Michael creating goal-scoring opportunities.
Our goalkeepers Ally and Cameron made numerous saves, Riley and Ally worked hard to bring the ball down the field. Nathan, Elizabeth, Piper and Michael defended and tackled well to keep the opponents score within our reach.
Keep up the good work everyone!

U9: Beacon Hill Tornadoes 1 Seaforth Pythons 1
12th April
Round two of the Tornadoes season saw another close encounter, this time with Seaforth.
From the kick off both sides got stuck in as the play moved from end to end. The Tornadoes defence of Isaac, Joshua and Matthew tackled well and managed to keep Seaforth from having too many chances. When they did shoot Nicholas was there to make the save. Joseph, Alessandro, Daniel and Mitchell were busy in midfield, there is a lot more ground to cover this year on the bigger pitches. Up front Callum was looking dangerous and Vanessa showed some good skills on the ball.
Half way through the first half and the Tornadoes took the lead. Matthew intercepted a Seaforth attack and hit a long pass through the Seaforth defence. Callum was first to the ball and gave the goalkeeper no chance with a great finish. 1-0 at half-time and things were looking good for the Beacon Hill team.
The second half was equally as open with both teams having chances to add to the scoreline. As the game came to a close there were some tired legs and the Tornadoes were struggling to get the ball out of their own half, however they never gave up and defended bravely. Just when it looked like they were going to chalk up their first win of the season, Seaforth were first to a loose ball and their striker scored with a great shot with what turned out to be the last kick of the match.
A disappointing finish but a huge effort by all the players who gave their all and if they can keep improving each week, which under Michael's coaching we know they will, a win is just around the corner.

5th April
Result: Loss 4-0
A great start to our season although the scoreboard indicated otherwise the game was fairly evenly matched with neither team dominating possession; we had our opportunities but weren't able to convert them to points this week.
Considering that for more than half of our team this was their very first game every player managed to make a contribution and demonstrate a good basic understanding of what they were out there to achieve.
The foundations and potential are there for us to build on and we look forward to a fun season ahead.

Jack showed great defence and ball skills, with Alessandro and Nicholas playing good attacking games. A sideline run with great team work eventuated in Callum scoring our first goal.
Joseph and Daniel played well both attacking and defending. Isaac and Matthew played well in defence with some good runs.
Keep up the good play, well done team!
