Over 35 Men Division 7 - Beacon Hill v Pittwater

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon for another draw against Pittwater.

The game was very close with Beacon Hill playing a much better passing and possession game with Gus fighting for every ball scoring the only goal of the game. Arnold who had shots at goal and waited very patiently as the last man hoping to have more opportunities to score more goals and Allan who fought very hard to nearly score a goal in the second half... it was great to watch!

The team had their great goalkeeper Kim and the very reliable sweeper Terry out of action this week. Eric stepped up to the role of goalkeeper with his son's gloves for good luck and a very stylish green jersey.

John did a great job stepping into Terry shoes by keeping his back line in order and clearing any balls that came through with Chris to knock out any player or ball that come anywhere near our half.

Fab and Vince did a great job in mid field by intercepting balls and sending them through to our very skillful attacker Dave and at times having shots at goal.

Tony and Andreas, did a great job by putting pressure on the opposition and running the ball down the field.

You only had to look at the injuries that Danny came out with at full time to appreciate the determination he put in during the course of the game.

The player of the week... THE WHOLE TEAM who played a very entertaining game with no subs and injured players.

Beacon Hill 5 v Avalon 4

Over 35 Men Division 7 - Beacon Hill v Avalon

The newly formed men's Over 35 Division 7 team played their very first competition football game on Saturday 3rd April 2010.

What an exciting start for the men with an outstanding result, a 5-4 win against Avalon.

No need to single out any players as all showed a desire to play, strong commitment amongst themselves and a pure love of football.

Well done men - a magical start! Go Beacon Hill......
