U12 Division 3
Boondah Reserve, Narrabeen
Beacon Hill 7 v Narrabeen 0
Well, after last week's pretty awful performance & rained out training this week who knew what to expect. With Ethan out injured, Dougie and Beau sick, we borrowed Christian from U12/4 which meant we had a full team and no bench. The Beacon Hill boys were playing Narrabeen and came out really fired up and looking to redeem for last week's display.
From the whistle the whole Beacons team looked really switched on and keen to show the good form that has been played for most of the season. The whole team played as a team with first half goals to Callum (2), Adam and Brandon one each. They were really unlucky to not score other goals as one in particular from Brandon went over the crossbar and Christian was putting some magic passes forward. The forwards were on fire because of the midfield with Tyler and Cameron were like a rock and all over the park pushing the ball forward constantly. Score was 4 nil to Beacons at half time.
With a half time talk from Coach Barry, pointing out the game still needed the intensity for the second half as no subs were available. Three second half goals by Christian (1) and Callum (2) showed that the team was hungry to continue the great first half effort. As the boys were tiring, the backs were called upon to defend more and we were up to the task. It was a great effort from the goalie to the forwards with each and every player contributing greatly. A special thanks to Christian as he fitted into the team with ease on the left flank and scored a good goal. Christian played the whole game, which was a great gesture from U12/4 coach Freddie, before off to play some part in his team's game. Fulltime score was a 7-0 win to Beacon.
Player of the week went to the whole team, as they played as a team and stayed committed for the entire game, even though they tired late in the game with no subs available. Special mention of Cameron in playing midfield as he covered everywhere and took control, pushing the ball forward. If Cameron wasn't setting up play in attack he was defending vigorously and was just in front of a number of players. Callum's four goals also deserves mention as Cal's pace and skill leaves the opposition behind.

U12 Division 4
Terrey Hills Oval
Beacon Hill Blues 1 v BTH Raiders 5
We started the game on a very very cold winters morning at Terrey Hills and it didn't get any better from then.
In goals for the first half was Hugo who had a terrific game. Leon had an amazing first half with fantastic footwork which saw us score our first goal with assistance from Christine's knee. Lachie has a great time trying his best to get a goal but without success.
At one point the ball came across from a majestic corner and Barney leaped, the balled skimming the top of his head. Someone cried "Grow up Barney" (Barney's Dad) because another few centimetres would have made all the difference and a goal would have been forthcoming. Neil did magic to connect with a header which was wonderful to watch.
Mitchell was great in defence up and down the field most of the game. Jayden had a couple of attempts at goal but unfortunately they didn't make it in.
We ended the first half with a 2 - 1 down against us.
The second half saw Lewis in goals. John did some fancy footwork and kept the ball out of the goals, then we had a great throw in from Hugo which made us some ground, but not enough for us to score.
Robbie defended brilliantly and on one occasion running the length of the field to defend. Thank goodness Lewis was in form with save after save. Unfortunately, a near post shot was impossible to keep out which was a shame.
Ryan, Robbie and John all played to the end and Lewis came out in a sterling effort to prevent another goal right on full-time.
All in all one has to admit that the BTH Raiders were a better team on the day.
Congratulations for trying your best Beacon Hill Blues, you are always enjoyable to watch. Better luck next week.
Man of the Match – Leon.

U13 Division 3
Tania Park, Balgowlah Heights
Beacon Hill 5 v Seaforth 1
Even with both Travis and Tim off injured, the Beacon Hill 13-3's started off strong, good passing and excellent ball control showed that we were dominant in all aspects of the game.
Logan C was in goals in the first half and made some terrific saves, a notable one had a Seaforth player charging strongly into goal; Logan kept cool, met the player head on and kicked the ball to safety.
Vigilant defence from Rebecca, Thomas and Abbey and with spot on passing from Megan, Alex and Nathan kept Seaforth from scoring.
Jason was as he put it, 'on fire', and scored four spectacular goals during the match supported by decisive play from Logan M, Alara and Jacob. Alex was goalie in the second half, he did some huge goal kicks and made a fantastic diving save, Seaforth were very lucky to get only one past him in the latter stages of the game.
Jasper made a huge run toward goal from halfway, struck the ball hard as he got close; it bounced off the goalie straight back to Jasper who struck again, this time finding the back of the net for our fifth goal.
Another strong victory to Beacon Hill 13-3's.

U16 Division 2
Boondah Reserve, Narrabeen
Beacon Hill 1 v Narrabeen 0
This was a tough game against a Narrabeen team which has been improving throughout the season and had not lost at home.
Beacon held the ball well in the first half and a smart ball laid back by Josh Carlson to Scott Gray saw Beacon Hill go to the break with a 1 - 0 lead.
The second half of the game produced great play from both sides without any further additions to the scoreboard giving the boys a well deserved 1 - 0 win.

U12 Division 4
Killarney Oval
Beacon Hill 1 v Wakehurst 0
Lyon took ball up the right wing after great defence by John and Neil. Good pressure from our midfield. Hugo, Lyon, Ryan and Lewis kept the ball in our half for long periods but not into striking distance yet. Solid defence by John, Robbie and Lachie through the first half.
Great break by Christian put Barney into the gap, cross to Christian who was well marked by Wakehurst, shot at goal goes wide. Our boys applied plenty of pressure in the first half but Wakehurst was fighting back, so the half time score was O-O.
2nd half we withstood attack from Wakehurst but once again defence held solid, great corner by Lyon but kicked out by Wakehurst. A great cross from Hugo nearly lead to a goal by Christian, the game was near the end when Lyon tackled and got possession of the ball, then shot and scored a goal from the right side of the penalty box. Beacon Hill 1-0 Wakehurst.

U13 Division 3
Jackson Road 2, Warriewood
Beacon Hill 7 v Avalon 0
A convincing win to the Beacon Hill 13-3's over Avalon!
The whole team played extremely well, dominating the game with no allowances given to the opposition, the odd break by Avalon was almost always stopped before getting too far into our half.
Accurate passing between our players made it look all too easy and Beacon Hill definitely outclassed the Avalon side.
Exceptional passing and attacking play by Logan M, Rebecca, Jason, Abbey and Logan C and relentless defence by Alex, Megan, Thomas and Nathan kept the score line in our favour.
Great goals by Travis (2), Tim (2), Logan M, Alara and Jacob. Jasper was goalie for the first half and made a few fantastic saves; Logan M was in goals after the break and only saw brief glimpses of the ball as it was mostly at the other end of the field.
Congratulations to the whole team and coaches for a well deserved win!

U16 Division 2
Tristram Road, Beacon Hill
Beacon Hill 1 v CC Strikers 0
This week saw Beacon Hill taking on CC Strikers at Tristram Road. This was always going to be a difficult game with two of the top teams in division 2 meeting for the second time this season. For this game it was great to have Michael Hegarty back on the field.
Both teams started well with Beacon having the better of the possession and looking stronger in defence than CC Strikers thanks to a great game by Cameron Pooley. It seemed that there wasn't much that Cam didn't control from the centre back. At half time both teams remained scoreless.
In the second half Beacon Hill lifted, producing some great play from Aaron and Cameron in the mid field that pushed the play forward, eventually leading to a very tidy goal from Michael Power.
Beacon Hill remained composed and thanks to another outstanding game by our goalkeeper Auron, who has kept our against tally the lowest in our comp, we took the 1 – 0 lead to the final whistle.

Under 12 Division 3
Beacon Hill Oval 2
Beacon Hill 2 vs. St Augustines (B) 1
A makeup game from the big wet was awaiting the Beacon boys on the Monday and they needed to keep the form from Saturdays second half ongoing.
From the kick off, Beacons were on the attack and terrorizing the opposition defence. Up front early Adam, Brandon, Callum and Ethan were really on fire and constantly getting good ball from the midfield and running through and around the St Augustine's defence.
This good work resulted in two first half goals, a penalty to Stephen and another goal to Callum. Other shots at goal only just missed by going over or to the side of the posts. One shot from Ethan hit the goalies hand & rebounded out. At half time Beacons were up by two goals.
The second half started the same way with great attack and defence and though no further goals were scored, Beacons were looking good. Tyler, Ben, Doug, Stephen and Matthew in the backs helped keep the defence intact, Beau and Cameron in the midfield were very busy in attack and defence. Jamie playing the whole game in goals as a replacement for David and had a fairly quiet time.
As the second half progressed the boys were getting somewhat tired and to the stage of walking. Late in the game St Augustine's broke away and scored a goal to leave the fulltime score as 2-1 to Beacons.
Player of the Week was Stephen as his big kicks saved the team many times in defence playing at centre back. Stevie's penalty kicks and corner kicks were constantly pin point and 1 of his penalty kicks dissected the opposition for a great goal.

U12 Division 3
Beacon Hill Oval 2
Beacon Hill 0 v CC Strikers 2
Well after 3 weeks of wet weather and no games, players and parents were eager to see more of the fantastic team work from the previous games.
From the whistle the Beacon Hill boys looked good and pressured the undefeated Strikers team with play in the opposition half. Up front, play led by Brandon and Callum were Beacon's best and most likely to create openings.
As the first half progressed Beacons looked tired and the players lacked the physical commitment, with the defence at times missing kicks and leaving free balls for the opposition.
Strikers scored two goals in the first half, one over the head of David and the second an own goal from a corner. David unfortunately got injured just before half time, when putting his body on the line with one of his traditional goalie saves, so there was no good news at the break. At half time Beacons were down by two goals.
A rousing team talk from coach Damian at half time really sent the boys out fired up for the second half. The whole Beacon team lifted and showed that they can play good footy across the park as per previous games. The defence was very solid which led to good team work and attacking opportunities.
As there were no goals scored in the second half which showed that if Beacons had of played the whole game as well as the second half the final score would have been different. Tyler, Brandon, Callum and Jamie playing the second half as goalie were the pick of the team this week.
Player of the Week was Jamie as he strengthened the backs with his defence later in the first half, when he came on from the bench. Jamie for the second half played goalie and showed that he was very capable and filled the role tremendously with great goalie work.

U13 Division 3
Grahams Reserve 1, Manly
Beacon Hill 1 v Brookvale 0
With a full team and the first game in ages, the Beacon Hill side were itching for a win.
The last time we played Brookvale the match ended in a two all draw.
From the kick off Beacon Hill dominated the game, both in attack and defense. Alara was goalie first up and saw a bit of action, but most of the play was concentrated at the other end of the field.
Early on, Travis passed to Jacob who made a great strike at goal, his shot just going over the top of the goal. Great defense by Tim, Rebecca and Thomas limited any opportunity for Brookvale to score.
The midfield got the ball up field to Logan M who passed over to Jason. He dribbled through the Brookvale backs and did a fantastic pass over to Travis who charged all the way and tapped it in for a much needed goal.
The second half had Georgia in goal, she was tested several times and made some excellent saves. The play this time seemed to be back in our half, with the midfield bearing most of the workload.
Jasper, Alex, Abbey, Megan, Logan C and Nathan won the ball time and time again, stopping most of the Brookvale attempts at getting through.
At one stage, Brookvale did manage to get a breakthrough and one of their players ended up one on one with Georgia in goals. I'm sure everyone was certain that Brookvale would score, but Georgia charged at the player and to everyone's relief, kicked the ball well clear of the danger zone.
A very satisfying win for the U13-3's.

U16 Division 2
Abbott Rd 4, Curl Curl
Beacon Hill 5 v Curl Curl 1
Like many other teams this week, the 16/2's lacked a little urgency in the first half of our game after a long period off the park.
Nevertheless Beacon Hill was able to go to the first half break against Curl Curl with a 2-1 lead thanks to an early goal by Josh Malcolm, who is leading the teams goal tally, and a first goal of the season to Mark Briggs.
A few carefully selected words of encouragement (I think) to the team at half time transformed the play and despite kicking into a strong breeze in the second half the boys were able to put away three unanswered goals finishing well with a convincing 5-1 win.
