GUEST OF HONOUR WITH AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE...

At the recent Beacon Hill Junior Presentation day, Club founder Ben Love delivered an important message to players and parents.

Mr Love who has just turned 102 years old, gave an address encouraging parents to become involved with volunteer organisations.

Mr Love said that in today's world where people's spare time seems to be limited, they need to consider the best places to spend that available time. Ben's advice was to invest the time in volunteer community activities such as the Beacon Hill Football Club.

Mr Love has spent his lifetime helping other people and creating facilities for the enjoyment of young and old football players.

Ben is pictured above presenting the 'Daniel Love Memorial Trophy' to young Michael Werner for being selected as the club's outstanding player in the Under 9 Striker's Cup competition.
