Tip Top, along with former Socceroos captain and National coach Frank Farina and state junior football federations, have kicked off Tip Top Coaching, a program offering support and guidance to thousands of coaching volunteers in NSW.

Soccer is one of Australia's most loved and revered sports for both Aussie boys and girls alike - with local clubs leaning on community members to offer coaching support. Now, Tip Top Coaching is providing these volunteers with a range of coaching resources including an interactive new website, free coaching DVD's and the opportunity to attend face-to-face clinics with Frank Farina.

Mark Gabites, General Manager, Tip Top NSW, said that the program is a reflection of Tip Top's commitment to growing junior soccer from a grassroots level.

"The Tip Top brand holds a strong place in the hearts of Australian families and communities, and we recognise the efforts of parents and friends who invest their time coaching junior soccer teams each year. By providing these dedicated volunteers with the support and expertise that they need to nurture our young players, Tip Top Coaching will brighten the future of young soccer hopefuls and encourage kids to lead an active, healthy lifestyle," he said.

Tip Top Coaching will be hosting a series of coaching clinics. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn the art of coaching from Farina himself in a session, providing theoretic and practical advice for junior coaches. Drawing on years of experience as a Socceroo and leading international coach, Farina will provide expert advice on topics such as player motivation, teamwork, skill development, training techniques, game strategies and more.

Community BBQ's will be hosted by Tip Top bakeries at key locations including Canberra, Orange and Sydney. Team members and families will enjoy a free BBQ, giveaways for the kids, and a chance to meet Frank Farina.

In addition to face-to-face clinics, Tip Top Coaching is also offering each U6-8 and U9-12 coach two free exclusive coaching DVD's.

The new Tip Top Coaching website is now live, offering junior players and their coaches’ vigorous training drills, opportunities to interact directly with Frank Farina and chances to showcase goal scoring glory. Furthermore the website offers coaches and players expert sports nutrition advice – making it the ultimate online hub for Saturday's soccer preparation.

When asked about the program, Farina said that good quality coaching during the junior years is crucial in building the foundations for player development. "Soccer is a fast-growing team sport for Aussie kids and we want to make sure that their love of sports stays with them as they grow up. This program aims to help junior coaches promote a fun and exciting environment that encourages enjoyment, skills building and sportsmanship," he said.
